PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
The last year has been another good year for the Club with our membership reaching the 120 mark. The Club successfully put on a Car Show on the long weekend in October last year, attracting over 150 entries and raising $3,300. This would not have happened without the dedication of the members and their wives who all put in countless hours for food preparation and worked their hearts out with the catering.
Thanks again to Roy Zandona who has spent countless hours keeping the website www.griffithcccc.org going and keeping it updated.
We had 30 events/runs attended by our members this year, including Wagga Swap Meet, Shepparton Swap Meet, Bright Rod Run, Wagga Show ‘N Shine, Narrandera Rod Run, Easter runs, XA,B,C,Coupe Show Echuca, Forbes Car Museum, 2 Club Xmas parties, Hillston Show, Henty Swap Meet, Deniliquin Rod Run, many weddings, Ride 4 Leukaemia, Shannons Drag, Wangaratta Swap Meet, National Fly-in on the Anzac weekend, Early Falcon Nats, Flat track to Hay, Echuca Rod Run, Jerilderie Show ‘N Shine, formals galore, Santa Carriage Day Griffith Central, Lake Talbot Run, Coly Rumblers Show ‘N Shine, Castlereagh Reunion, Downside, 2 Morundah Pub Runs and our Rego Check Day, to mention only some. Some of these events were combined with other Clubs in the area, keeping the socialising going between them.
We also had 82 movements entered into the Movement/Permit book, again showing us that members are still doing the right thing with the Conditional Plate Scheme.
I am somewhat disappointed in the support from members with regards to event organisation or ideas, with only four being brought forward, 2 from one person. That said, I’d like to take the opportunity to congratulate the Club for the last year’s efforts, but want to see more support for the coming year.
........Greg Salvestro, President 2006-2010.
Greg advised he would like to stand down as President this year and have a break. The Constitution states that any position can only be held for three years and he has been President for four. However, he said he would be willing to stay on as Club Registrar and Events Co-Ordinator.

Changes to Constitution:
Changes are required to be made to the Constitution to bring it in line with the Department of Fair Trading’s Model Rules. A draft revised Constitution will be circulated to members and presented for adoption at an Extraordinary Meeting to be held on a date to be advised. The following changes were agreed:
1. Delete the requirement for office bearers to only hold office for three years.
2. Definition of eligibility to be changed to “Any self-propelled motorised vehicle or cycle”.
3. The 3 months grace for membership renewal could be confusing for members with regard to driving of Conditionally Registered vehicles whilst unfinancial, therefore this change should not be adopted. (Moved Ian Leitch Seconded Roy Zandona).
Life Membership:
Moved Barry Turnell Seconded Roy Zandona that Greg Salvestro be awarded the Club’s first Life Membership in recognition of his outstanding service to the Club over the past 25 years. Motion passed unanimously.

Kel Williams Rally Sponsorship – Unfortunately Kel broke a torsion bar on the first lap of the rally.
